Ambac Financial Group, Inc.. The Group's principal activity is to provide financial guarantees and other financial services to public and private sector clients worldwide. Its operates in two business segments: Financial guarantee and Financial services. The financial guarantee segment includes financial guarantee insurance and other credit enhancement products, such as credit derivatives. The financial services segment provides financial and investment agreements, funding conduits, interest rate, currency and total return swaps principally to clients of the financial guarantee business which includes municipalities and other public entities, health care organizations, asset-backed and structured finance issuers. The Group's services are mainly provided to its financial guarantee clients, which include municipalities, school districts, hospitals, health care organizations and asset-backed issuers.
