Alcon Incorporated. The Group's principal activity is to develop, manufacture and market Pharmaceutical, Surgical Equipment and devices, Contact Lens and other vision care products. The Group's products treat eye diseases and disorders and general functions of the human eye. The Group operates through three segments namely: Surgical Equipment, Pharmaceutical and Consumer Eye Care. Surgical equipment segment provides surgical products and devices for treating cataract, vitreal and retinal disease, refractive errors and presbyopia. Pharmaceuticals segment develops pharmaceuticals for diseases of eye and prescribes ophthalmic and optical drugs. Consumer Eye Care and other vision care segment develop lens disinfecting, cleaning solutions and artificial tears.
