Ascent Solar Technologies, Inc. The Group's principal activity is to commercialize certain photovoltaic (PV) technology developed by ITN Energy Systems, Inc. (ITN) for space and near-space applications. It intend to be the first company to manufacture PV modules in commercial quantities that use a highly efficient thin-film Copper-Indium-Gallium-diSelenide ("CIGS") absorbing layer on a flexible high-temperature plastic substrate. It has produced and tested small-scale demonstration samples of our CIGS PV products at the laboratory level, but not yet produced any products in commercial quantities nor have yet received any revenues from the proposed products. It intend to use net proceeds of this offering to establish a production line that will enable it to transition into full-scale, commercial manufacturing of its CIGS PV products. It is a developing stage company. The Group operates in the United States of America.
