First Horizon National Corporation. The Group's principal activity is to provide banking and other financial services. It operates through five business segments: Regional Banking, Capital Markets, National Specialty Lending, Mortgage Banking and Corporate. The Regional Banking offers financial products and services, including traditional lending and deposit taking, to retail and commercial customers. The Capital Markets consists of traditional capital markets securities activities, equity research, loan sales, portfolio advisory, structured finance and correspondent banking. The National Specialty Lending consists of traditional consumer and construction lending activities in other national markets. The Mortgage Banking consists of core mortgage banking elements including originations and servicing and the associated ancillary revenues related to these businesses. The Corporate segment consists of restructuring, repositioning and efficiency initiatives.
