It operates in 3 segments: Single-family Guarantee provides guarantees to many of the customers through contracts that require selling or securitizing a specified minimum share of their eligible loan originations. Investments include the purchase of mortgages and mortgage-related investment portfolio. Multifamily includes purchases of multifamily mortgages for the retained portfolio and guarantees of payments of principal and interest on multifamily mortgage-related securities and mortgage underlying multifamily housing revenue bonds.
