Annaly Capital Management, Inc.. The Group's principal activities are owning and managing a portfolio of mortgage-backed securities, including mortgage pass-through certificates, collateralized mortgage obligations and other securities. It has been approved as a real estate investment trust company as described by Sections from 856 (c) (5) (B) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986. The Group's objective is to generate net income for distribution to stockholders from the spread between the interest income on mortgage-backed securities and the costs of borrowings to finance the acquisition such securities. The Group's investment policy is to invest in mortgage-backed securities and short-term investments that have been rated the highest by at least one of the nationally recognized rating agencies. To date, all of the mortgage-backed securities acquired have been backed by single-family residential mortgage loans. It's headquarter is located in New York, United States.
