The Group operates stores in the United States and Canada under the names 'Pier 1 Imports' and 'Pier 1 Kids'. Pier 1 Kids stores sell children's home furnishings and decorative accessories. It also has merchandise in 'store within a store' locations in Mexico and Puerto Rico that are operated by Sears Roebuck de Mexico S A de C V and Sears Roebuck de Puerto Rico Inc respectively. On February 28, 2009, the Company operated 1,011 Pier 1 Imports stores in the United States and 81 Pier 1 Imports stores in Canada.
