Stanley Works. The Group's principal activity is to produce and sell tools, hardware and security products for professional, industrial and consumer use. It operates through three segments: Security, Industrial, and Construction and Do-It-Yourself. The Security provides access and security solutions to retailers, educational, financial and healthcare institutions, commercial, governmental and industrial customers. The Industrial segment manufactures and markets: professional industrial and automotive mechanics tools and storage systems; engineered healthcare storage systems; hydraulic tools and accessories; plumbing, heating and air conditioning tools; assembly tools and systems; and specialty tools. The Construction and Do-It-Yourself ("CDIY") segment manufactures and markets hand tools, consumer mechanics tools, storage systems, and pneumatic tools and fasteners. It operates in the United States, Europe, Asia, France and foreign countries.
