United States Steel Corporation. The Group's principal activity is to produce and market steel products, minerals and other related services with major operations in North America and Europe. The Group operates through three segments: Flat-rolled products, U. S. Steel Europe and Tubular Products. The Flat-rolled segment is involved in the production of sheet, tin mill products and strip mill plate. The U. S. Steel segment is involved in the production and marketing of sheet, strip mill plate, tin mill, tubular, precision tube and specialty steel products. The Tubular segment produces and markets seamless and electric resistance weld tubular products. The Group has other businesses which include transportation services, the management and development of real estate, and engineering and consulting services.
